Death Star Plans

I can argue that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is probably the best movie in the franchise. The movie bridges the new with the old as it connects episode IV, and answers a lot of questions when we first watched Star Wars: A New Hope.

In Rogue One the main storyline is that of Jyn Erso getting and delivering the plans of the Death Star to the Rebel Alliance. Unfortunately, Jyn never got to personally hand the plans over. I don’t know for sure if she was specifically supposed to give the plans to Princess Leia or not but at the beginning of A New Hope and at the end of Rogue One we see Leia giving the plans to R2D2 for safekeeping.

Star Wars conventions happen regularly and some that attend dress up in their favorite characters. Even whole families as a group show off their creative abilities. Enter father and daughter back in 2017 for a celebration convention in Florida.

The daughter, Harley, went to the event dressed as Jyn Erso. I’m not sure of her age but I provided one picture. The Dad, Dino, being a good father leveled up by making several “Death Star plans.” Shown in the same picture. These two created an event that I find just spectacular.

Little Jyn, went around the convention and started handing out Death Star plans to every Leia she meet. At one point she approached Princess Leia and R2D2 standing side by side and instead of giving the plans to Leia, she gave them to R2D2. Soon she was running out of plans but had one left.

She saved the last one as she walked off to the memorial that had been set up for Carrie Fisher, who passed away in 2016. Here, Little Jyn personally delivered the plans to the Princess.
