“From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere”
Dr. Seuss
Phillip Weidner planned on building a two-story log cabin deep in the woods of Alaska. But after 20 years and adding floor on top of floor, the structure is just 15 feet below the federal regulated aviation space.
At 185-feet tall and some 16 floors or so the house is known by locals as “Dr. Seuss' House” but its creator calls it his “Poem to the Sky.” The official name is Goose Creek Tower.
I believe today the house is completely abandoned and is still on private property but it is hard to miss from the road or the train. Goose Creek Tower can be located north of Willow, Alaska.
