A few years ago, NASA and JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory-Caltech) came up with a calendar full of creative posters to celebrate their work. This calendar was given out to NASA staff, scientists, engineers, and some government officials. A digital version of the artwork was released for free.
The project involved nine artists, designers, and illustrators, one being the team at Invisible Creature. IC designed “The Grand Tour,” A nod to the Voyager missions. Another urges travelers to visit the 100 geysers on the south end of Enceladus, a moon of Saturn. The other is of Mars.
Invisible Creature is the product of two brothers, Don and Ryan Clark, whose grandfather spent 28 years at NASA as an illustrator. Recently they just published a book called Face the Music: 20 Years of Album Art.
